Nellie (Sensbach) Eversmann, 91, of Louisville, passed away on July 5, 2019.

Nellie was born on May 20, 1928 and was married to the late Adrian Eversmann on Oct. 22, 1949.

She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Benedict (Clarkson, Kentucky), fan of Louisville Cardinal sports, and enjoyed birds, cats, fishing, flowers, Nolin Lake, and most importantly her family and friends. She thought more about the needs of others than her own.

Nellie is survived by her sons, Gary (Carol) Eversmann, and David (Loretta) Eversmann; grandchildren Jason (Jennifer) Eversmann, Julie (Bryan) Seigle, Shelly (Mike) Everhart, Christy (Shane) Seely, Lacey Eversmann, and Misty Eversmann; eight great-grandchildren; niece, Joan Butler; nephew, Mike Heitz; and many friends at Nolin Lake. She left a legacy for sports, the great outdoors, guidance, strength and humor for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Walter and Nellie Sensbach, and husband, Adrian, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Dana Eversmann; brother and sister Walt and Lily; and special friend, Herb Bailey.

Visitation will take place at Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Rd., on Friday, July 12, 2019, from 3-7 p.m. The funeral service for Nellie will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Dana Eversmann.
