Betty Jean Williams, our beloved 87-year-old Mother, has been called home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born in Clarkson, Kentucky to the late James A. and Lillian Downs Fields. Jean was an avid U of L and sports fan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Bertram Williams, and her brother, James Addison Fields.

Jean is survived by her sons, Roger (Teresa) and Rodney (Connie) Thomason; grandchildren, Matthew, Michelle, James and John Thomason; her great-grandchildren, Anthony and Anelle; her beloved niece and nephew, Penny and Jeffrey; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Louisville, Kentucky. A celebration of Jean’s life will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Clarkson Cemetery in Grayson County, Kentucky at 3 p.m. Eastern Time, 2 p.m. Central Time, where she will be laid to her final rest next to her “Daddy,” Mother and Brother.

We love you, Mom, and we miss you. You are a Saint and the greatest lady that ever lived.
