The Cougars and Lady Cougars had a tough week last week with the Cougars falling to Breckinridge County and the Lady Cougars falling to both Breckinridge County and Apollo.

The Lady Cougars lost to Breckinridge County on Jan. 18, 43-65.

Kenzie Renfrow, Rachael Synder, Kaylee Masden and Bailey Snyder scored 30 of those points.

Renfrow had six two-pointers and four free-throws for 16 points; Rachael Snyder had three two-pointers and one three-pointer for nine points. Masden and Bailey Snyder each had one two-pointer and one three-pointer for five points each. Laura Vincent led in rebounds with a total of nine.

The Lady Cougars also lost to Apollo on Jan. 22, 46-50.

Kenzie Renfrow, Bailey Snyder and Laura Vincent scored 36 of those points.

Renfrow had four two-pointers and five free-throws for 13 points; Snyder had two two-pointers, two three-pointers and two free-throws for 12 points; and Laura Vincent had four two-pointers and one three-pointer for 11 points, and also led in rebounds with seven.

The Lady Cougars are now 10-10 for the season, and their next game will be today at 2 p.m. at South Warren.

The Cougars lost to Breckinridge County on Jan. 18, 30-46.

Nolan Shartzer, Spencer Sharp and Josh Embry scored 25 of those points.

Shartzer had six two-pointers for 12 points and led in free-throws with 10; Sharp had two two-pointers and three free-throws for seven points; and Embry had two two-pointers and two free-throws for six points.

The Cougars are now 7-13 for the season. They will have their next game at McLean County on Jan. 29 at 7:30 p.m.
