The Lady Cougars opened the Russellville Food Bank Classic with a win over Warren Central’s Lady Dragons.

Junior Rachel Snyder was the night’s leader with 16 points, along with senior Kenzie Renfrow with 15 points. Freshman Annie Kiper contributed 10 points.

Excluding a brief tie at 16-16 in the second quarter, the Lady Cougars maintained the lead on the Lady Dragons. The third quarter saw the Lady Cougars' largest lead of the night with a 15-point cushion.

Back-to-back scoring in the fourth quarter sealed the Lady Dragons’ fate, with a free throw by sophomore Raigan Cave to bring the final score to 48-40.

Following this win, the Lady Cougars advanced to the semi-finals where they fought hard against Marshall County’s Marshals but were unable to claim a victory. Final score: 63-49.
