Hannah Saltsman bullies her way in the post.

Coming off of a close win against highly ranked Muhlenberg County last Monday night, the Lady Cougars entered the evening feeling fantastic. Compound that with the fact that they get to play a lowly Hancock County team on senior night, and well you're in store for some fun. The three Lady Cougar seniors combined for 40 points on the night, as they totally dismantled the Hancock County visiting team.

The Cougars didn't waste any time as they jumped out to a 16-2 lead, behind stellar play and immense hustle from sophomore guard Kenzie Renfrow. She really set the tone defensively and it resonated with the rest of the team all evening. This one looked well out of hand early on, but a quick basket with just over 2 minutes left in the quarter, followed up by three

consecutive trips to the foul line, which resulted in 6 additional points for the Hancock County girls, brought a competitive spirit back to the ball game. The gap shrunk to just 7.

At the jump of the 2nd quarter the Lady Hornets nailed a triple to bring the score to within 5.

However, that would be as close as they would get for the rest of the night. Grayson County felt a sense of urgency and started capitalizing on some lazy passes and sloppy ball handling by the Lady Hornets.

The Cougars were racking up the steals left and right and before you knew it, the Cougars found themselves on another monster run. Only this time, it never actually let up. At the 6:19 mark in the 4th

quarter, Renfrow completed a silky euro step, finishing easily at the basket, putting the Cougs up 57-25.

Grayson County got so far ahead that the referees had to implement a running clock with 5 minutes still left to play in the game. The Lady Cougars finished the game on a 33-9 run and won it by a score of 68-29.

Hannah Saltsman led the way with 15 points.

Kenzie Renfrow played an all-around great game and finished with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals.
