The Grayson County High School boys soccer team is starting to find itself.

After going 1-1 in the opening week, the Cougars picked up two more wins this week, scoring eight goals in between both games, putting them at 3-1 in the early season.

They got started last Saturday handling Monroe County 4-0 to improve back over .500. Wyatt Schultz led the way again scoring two goals while Kyler Goostree had a goal with two assists and Logan Raymer added the fourth to round out the scoring.

On Tuesday they made sure to follow up on the Monroe win by edging out a gutsy 4-3 win at Caldwell County. Despite the game being delayed two hours by thunder and allowing three goals, a late penalty goal by goalie Brady Whobrey gave them the win.

It was Whobrey's first career goal and gave the Cougars their first road win after goals by Schultz, Goostree and Bahaa Masri tied the game at three.

It is early days in the season, but Grayson is finding ways to consistantly put the ball in the back of the net. In only four games so far the Cougars have already scored 20 goals.
