Hunter Gibson takes it to the end in the third quarter, bringing the score to 21-6.

The Grayson County Cougars traveled to Breckinridge County last Friday night with a large group of loyal supporters in tow.

The Cougars opened with a strong defense, allowing for no scoring from the Tigers in the first quarter. With 33 seconds left, Jacob Kerr made Grayson’s first touchdown of the night with a five-yard run.

The second quarter opened with a fumble recovery by Kerr who returned the ball 10 yards for a touchdown. At 9:29, the Tigers made a 33-yard touchdown pass followed by a failed PAT, bringing the score to 14-6 where it remained into halftime.

At 8:17 in the third quarter, Kerr rushed an impressive 33 yards for a first down. At 6:16, a four-yard run by Hunter Gibson brought the score to 21-6 where it remained into the fourth quarter.

At 4:36 in the fourth quarter, Logan Raymer made a 21-yard field goal to bring the score to 24-6. With 36 seconds remaining, the Tigers scored with a 25-yard touchdown pass, but the PAT was no good. Final score: 24-12.

With this victory, the undefeated Cougars improved to 5-0.
