Raiders tackle Logan Kopp.

The Grayson County Cougars traveled to Hart County last Friday night to face off against the Raiders, where they grabbed a one-sided victory to break their losing streak.

The first quarter saw a slow start and resulted in no scoring. At 11:28 in the second quarter, the Cougars’ Hunter Gibson achieved a seven-yard touchdown run, followed by a good PAT. At 5:23, Gibson brought home a 43-yard touchdown run. The PAT was good, bringing the score to 14-0 where it remained into halftime.

The third quarter saw a 16-yard run by Logan Kopp at 9:58, followed by a successful PAT to bring the score to 21-0 where it remained into the fourth quarter.

The Raiders were able to hold off the Cougars until Kopp broke free with a 31-yard run at 6:54 in the fourth quarter. The PAT was good. With less than 30 seconds left on the clock, a 47-yard interception return for a touchdown by Kopp brought the score to its final: 34-0.

The Grayson County Cougars ended their regular season by improving 7-3. They will travel to Graves County for their first playoff game on Nov. 8.
