Staff Report

The Grayson County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help with locating two Grayson County teens recently reported missing.

Authorities continue to search for 16-year-old Brandon R. Stewart and 16-year-old Christian D. Jackson, both of whom were last seen on Sunday, June 2 at their residence near the 14500 block of Grayson Springs Road.

According to Grayson County Sheriff Norman Chaffins, the two reportedly ran away together, and no foul play is suspected in their disappearance.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of these missing juveniles is asked to call the sheriff's office at 270-259-3024.

Chaffins also said Tuesday night that the search for missing 17-year-old Gavin P. Petty had concluded.

Petty, who went missing after 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 1 from 1610 Morrison Clifty Rd. in Big Clifty, was located and is safe with his family.

Additionally, a multi-agency search for a missing Amish teenager, whose name has not been released by authorities, proved successful as she was located around 11:35 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Assisting local law enforcement in the search were Air Methods with their FLIR Monday night, search and rescue out of Daviess County, local search and rescue teams with K-9s, Grayson County Emergency Management, Grayson County EMS, volunteers and first responders from the Leitchfield Fire Department.

According to Chaffins, both drones and aircraft were also used during the search.

The female juvenile was located across from where authorities were centralizing their search, alongside the road by one of the volunteers with the search and rescue team.

Chaffins said she was safe and in good condition, but it was apparent that she had been in the woods as she had several scratches on her arms and face.
