Grayson County Extension Agent Natalie Taul explains the Get Moving Grayson County program to attendees of last week's kick-off event.

The Get Moving Grayson County kick-off was held at James D. Beville Community Park last Thursday, June 27 at 4:30 p.m.

Over 45 people were in attendance to learn how to use the FitBlue App and participate in the Get Moving Grayson County challenge as a whole.

Participants were able to be entered into a drawing to win a FitBit Charge 3. The winner's name, Priscilla Allen, was drawn last Friday morning.

Prizes for the kick-off and the competition were purchased with a grant from Communicare Regional Prevention Centers.

Participants were given step-by-step directions on how to use the FitBlue app by Natalie Taul, FCS agent with the Grayson County Extension Office.

The Extension Office was joined by the Public Trails Association of Grayson County and the Grayson County Health Department, who brought goodies, healthy eating information, and information about the trails.

For more information about Get Moving Grayson County and the FitBlue App, visit the Extension Office or its Facebook page.

Get Moving Grayson County officially begins July 8.
