The Grayson County Middle School's Cougar Zone Fashion club held their first runway show Wednesday. The CZ Fashion Club was requested by Caleb Garrison this year, and the Grayson County Middle School made it happen.

Students in the club were able to design an outfit and work with professionals to bring those designs to life.

Supplies were donated by local businesses Sew Much More, L&L Sales, and Caught Ya Lookin', but they not only donated supplies, they also donated their time to assist the students.

Additionally, Angie Jones helped teach the students and helped them keep their deadlines, and Rose Pharis agreed to mentor these students over the summer.

All six designers worked hard to create dresses that they would either model themselves or have someone else model on the runway. Garrison made a dress for his sister. Those who worked with the students bragged about how hard they worked and how talented they are.

Students in the club showed off these designs Wednesday with a runway fashion show.

Winners of the show Sydney Lindsey (first place) and Jayleigh Bocock (second place) received a mentorship to create new designs that they will sell on Zulily. They also received new sewing machines to take home.

All of the students will receive one-on-one internships over the summer to help them become better designers. They also received a goody bag full of sewing supplies.
