The Grayson County Fiscal Court holds discussion during its meeting on Tuesday afternoon.

The Grayson County Fiscal Court on Tuesday voted to change the time of its first meeting of the month, as well as the location of both of its monthly meetings.

At Grayson County Judge Executive Kevin Henderson's request, the fiscal court, during its regular meeting on Tuesday afternoon, voted to begin holding its first meeting of the month at 11 a.m. on the first Tuesday of the month, as opposed to 5 p.m.

Henderson said that since this meeting is primarily for the court to approve bill payments, holding it earlier in the day will enable the county to send the payments out more efficiently. The fiscal court's second meeting of the month, held on the third Tuesday of each month, will continue to be held at 5 p.m.

In addition, Henderson requested that both of the fiscal court's meetings be moved to the meeting room in his new office at 130 East Market St. in Leitchfield (formerly the Grayson County Public Library).

Henderson said this meeting room can hold up to around 20 people, so, in case of high attendance, meetings will be moved to the current meeting location on the third floor of the Grayson County Government Building.
