The Grayson County Fiscal Court holds discussion on Tuesday afternoon.

The Grayson County Fiscal Court, during its regular meeting Tuesday afternoon, accepted a resinous flooring bid for the Grayson County Detention Center expansion.

The county had previously accepted a bid package for the project but rejected the bid included in it for resinous flooring because it included the cost of labor, and opted to re-bid this portion.

According to Grayson County Jailer Jason Woosley, the detention center intends to perform the labor of installing the resinous flooring itself, and, by doing so, the $223,250 bid from Marathon Engineering Corporation will be around $40,000 less than the original bid.

This bid is part of the $12,804,635.75 total cost of the jail expansion.

In other business, the fiscal court:

*Approved appointing Barry J. Cannon to the Grayson County Hospital District Board to replace current member Pam Langdon, whose term has expired.

*Accepted the Grayson County Board of Heath's operating budget for Fiscal Year 2019-2020. The budget includes $443,600 in revenues; $998,600 in receipts and cash; and $478,211 in appropriations.
