Deloris H. Pence, age 70, of Big Clifty, KY., passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Norton Pavillion in Louisville.

She was the daughter of Claude L. and Lena Virginia Pence Hart and was married to Robert Pence.

Deloris was a member of White Mills Christian Church, a Kentucky Colonel and a retired School Teacher. She received her Master’s Degree in English and taught for eighteen years at Grayson County High School and served for two years as a Social Worker in Grayson County.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; one son and daughter-in-law, James R. and Jean Pence of Virginia and one grand-daughter, Kimberly Noel Pence.

Other survivors include four brothers and sisters-in-law; John and Dixie Hart, William (Billy) and Wanda Hart, Randall and Lola Hart and Mike and Roberta Hart and one sister, Judith Pawley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant sister, Martha Ann Hart and two nephews, Stephen Harrell and Phillip Burkhead.

Visitation will be at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home on Monday, March 4, 2013 from 4 until 8 p.m.; Tuesday, March 5, from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.; and Wednesday, March 6, from 8 a.m. until time of service. The Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 6 at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Dennis officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in Big Clifty.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to the American Lung Association in memory of Deloris Pence.
