Brian Neil “Possum” Parsley, age 43, of Big Clifty, passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 at his residence. He was born August 29, 1969 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, the son of Edward Estel Parsley & Brenda Nell Emberton Moutadier. He was a construction worker and a member of the East Grayson County Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his daughter, Shelby Lynn Nicole Parsley of Big Clifty, his mother, Brenda Nell Emberton Moutadier of Big Clifty, one sister, Mary Kathleen Portman of Big Clifty, one brother, Edward Eugene Parsley of Danville, PA, three half-sisters, Angela Parsley of West Point, KY, Lisa Hatcher Sadler of Liberty, KY, & Roberta Hart of Big Clifty, two half-brothers, Gary Dale Hatcher & David Parsley both of Big Clifty, several step-brothers & step-sisters, and three aunts, Fredia Kee of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Lucy Dockerty of Kokomo, IN, and Mable Deckard of Tompkinsville, KY.
He was preceded in death by his father Edward Parsley.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield with Sis. Clara Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in the Moore Cemetery in Big Clifty. Visitation will be held after 4:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations to help with the funeral expenses.
