Goldie Deweese, age 89 of Leitchfield, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at her residence.

She was born March 7, 1923 in Grayson County, the daughter of Stanford and Mary Ann Whobery Davis.

She is survived by her daughter, Ocie Duvall (Arville), of Leitchfield; her husband, Elmer Deweese. of Bloomington, IL; two brothers, Owen Davis, of Vine Grove, and Lawrence Davis, of Illinois, and several nieces and nephews.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Carl, Leonard, Chester, Leslie, Homer, and Jeff Davis, and one sister, Ilean Decker.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at the Harvest Time Apostolic Church located on Cedar Grove Road, in Bee Spring, with Bro. Matthew Irvin, Bro. Russell Laswell, and Bro. Lyndon Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the New Harmony Cemetery in Sadler.

Visitation will be held after 3 p.m. on Monday and from 9 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church. Watson & Hunt Funeral Directors are handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations to the funeral home to help with the funeral expenses.
