Rex Denton Davison, 74, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Saints Mary and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville.

He was born December 2, 1938 in Ohio County, the son of Birch F. Davison and Edna Mahurin Davison. He was a former Kentucky State Police Trooper, and was also a Mason and a man of faith.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn, of Louisville; his daughter Debra Davison Wells, of Indianapolis, IN; his son Christopher B. Davison, of Knightstown, IN; his two step-sons, Michael and Steven Harper, of Louisville and a step-daughter Sally Vandevander, also of Louisville; his brothers, Phillip Davison, of Memphis, IN, and Gene Davison, of Elgin, AZ. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville with Pastor Gregg Curtis, pastor of the Stithton Baptist Church in Radcliff, KY officiating. Burial will be in the Mahurin Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Friday, Dec. 18, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN.
