Adrian Philip “Sonny” Beavin, age 62 of Hardinsburg, died Monday, December 24, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System.

He was born in Louisville on May 27, 1950, the son of the late Adrian and Margaret West Beavin.

Sonny was a lifelong farmer starting at a young age with his father. He won many awards raising and showing registered Hereford Cattle both in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and nationally. He was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church and the Kentucky Army National Guard from 1969 - 1975.

Sonny is survived by three sons, Jamie Beavin, Shane Beavin and his wife Carrie, and Dane Beavin, all of Hardinsburg, one grandson , Wyatt Beavin, of Hardinsburg, one sister, Laurel Hawley and her husband Gary, of Lexington, two nieces, Tina Hawley, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jennifer Hawley, of Lexington, one aunt, Emma Parks, of Florence, KY.

Funeral services will be held at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Tony Stevenson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, in Hardinsburg on Thursday from 3:30 - 8 p.m. and after 8:30 a.m. on Friday.
