Charles William Cureton, age 76, of Leitchfield, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012, at Grayson Manor Nursing Home, in Leitchfield.

He was born on March 25, 1936 in Grayson County, the son of the late Roger and Marie Whitaker Cureton. He was retired from Vermont American, andas a member of the Shrewsbury Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star.

He is survived by his companion, Dora Ann Cook, of Leitchfield; his daughters, Denise Vaughn (Randy), of Hartford, and Anna Marie Mudd (Matt), of Leitchfield; his sister, Evelyn Fletcher (Hartsell), of Leitchfield; four grandchildren, Jeremy Byrum, Amy Keys, Jamie Hardrick and Drew Vaughn; seven great-grandchildren, Jaden, JaMaya, Presleigh, Jaxen, Jarren, Breeleigh and Alexis.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 17, 2012, at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield, with Bro Chester Shartzer officiating. Burial was in the Sanders Cemetery.
