Virginia Middeler Hammons, age 78, of Cub Run, passed away Friday, November 23, 2012 at Hardin Memorial Hospital, in Elizabethtown.

She was born June 5, 1934 in Louisville. She was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and recently attended her 60th class reunion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Frieda Williams Middeler, and two brothers, Joseph and Bobby Middeler.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Curtis Ralph Hammons; one son, Curtis Ralph Hammons, Jr. (Sheri), of Pendleton; six daughters, Sheila Hammons, of Florida, Connie Hammons, of Louisville, Terry Ann Tarrance (Bobby), of Caneyville, Tina Light (Floyd), of Elizabethtown, Angela Wright (Joey), of Brooks, and Amy Wray (Billy), o0f Louisville; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Arrangements were handled by Watson & Hunt Funeral Directors. A memorial will be held at a later date.
