Dwight Wilson, age 87, of Caneyville passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 at Springview Health and Rehab in Leitchfield.

He was born on December 3, 1924 in Butler County, the son of the late Homer and Mary Frances Embry Wilson. He was a machine operator at Ragland’s Quarry.

He is survived by his wife Thelma Wilson; their three sons, Glen Wilson (Patty), Gary Wilson (Marilyn) and Stanley Wilson (Vickie), all of Caneyville; one sister, Brenda Snell (Jerry), of Butler County; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Wilson, of Louisville; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers H.M. and Foster Wilson, and his sister Ann Embry.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012 at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. Gary Beatty will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville from 9 a.m. Thursday until time of service.
