A single-vehicle accident sent one to the hospital around 1 p.m. Thursday, January 18.
According to Leitchfield City Police Detective, Kevin Smith, a 1999 Ford operated by Robert Hayse, 59, of Leitchfield, was traveling south on South Main Street when the vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons on the northbound side and struck a guardrail located at the Western Kentucky Parkway ramp.
The vehicle went under the guardrail and came to rest in a grassy area, reported Smith.
Hayse was removed from the vehicle by the Leitchfield Fire Department and was treated at the scene for non life-threatening injuries by Grayson County Emergency Medical Services and later transported to the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center for treatment.
LPD officer Greg Whobrey is the investigating officer.
