A Clarkson man pleaded guilty Thursday to facilitation of an unlawful transaction with a minor following a prom party last May.

According to court records Leslie Neil Harrison 37, who is employed as sewer plant operator for the city of Clarkson, pleaded guilty to the charges on Thursday, February 25 after the original charge was amended.

Harrison was sentenced to serve 90 days in the Grayson County Detention Center, which was probated for two years, and pay a $250 fine plus court costs.

The original charges stem from an arrest made in the early hours of Sunday, May 10.

According to a report from Kentucky State Police Officer Kevin Henderson, Harrison was arrested and charged with two counts of unlawful transaction with a minor after state police broke up an after-hours prom party.

“We made several traffic stops concerning minors drinking and driving,” said Henderson. “After some investigation a warrant was issued and we arrested Neil Harrison on Highway 62 around 2 a.m.”

The original warrant stated that Harrison unlawfully committed the offense of unlawful transaction with a minor in the third degree when he knowingly sold, gave, purchased or procured alcoholic beverages to or for a minor.

Henderson reported several other citations were issued and parents of the minors attending the party were called.
