With the deadline quickly approaching, people who have entries for the logo contest that will help celebrate Grayson County’s 200th birthday are encouraged to turn in their designs at the Centre on Main.
The winning bicentennial logo will be used throughout the year to celebrate the county’s birthday and may be used on banners and displays to tie all the festivals, such as the HoneyFest, Freedom Fest and Caneyville Fair, together during the 2010 year.
The logo contest is open to all ages. Artist renderings must be submitted on 8.5 x 11 paper and must be entered by August 25th, 2009. Entries can be mailed or dropped off at the Centre on Main at 425 S. Main St., Leitchfield. All entries must have the name, age and contact information for the artist on the back of the entry.
The contest entries will be displayed the next week at the Grayson County Fair. One grand winner will be chosen from the entries. The winner will receive a free weekend at Rough River Dam State Resort Park at the executive cottage worth $300 and a $50 savings bond from Tourism.
Anyone who would like to be actively involved in the formation of the bicentennial celebration is encouraged to attend the meeting at noon on August 27th. The location of the meeting will be Centre on Main.
