Dorothy M. Edwards, age 86, of Leitchfield, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Springview Health and Rehab, in Leitchfield.

She was born on September 5, 1926 in Hart County, the daughter of the late John and Mary Bishop Denton.

She was a housewife, who enjoyed quilting, and was a member of the Lone Star Church of Christ.

She is survived by two sons, Randall Keith Edwards, of Richmond, KY, and Terry Edwards and his wife, Mary, of Leitchfield; one daughter, Carla Seaton and her husband, Garry, of Caneyville; three grandchildren, Alex Seaton of Caneyville, Matthew Edwards, of Leitchfield, and Tammy Edwards-Morgan, of Orlando, FL; four great-grandchildren, Amanda Asay, Tyler and Travis Morgan and Joplyne Edwards; three great-great-grandchildren, Hannah, Lucas and Lillie Belle Asay, and one sister, Dixie Short, of Campbellsville, KY.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, a grandson, Kevin Edwards, and three brothers, Sam, Roy “Bud” and Tom Denton.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Ray Pack and Bro. Roger Chaffins will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
