Diana Rae Riley Kannapel, age 61 of Hardinsburg, died Monday, December 24, 2012 at her residence.

She was born in Breckinridge County on December 29, 1950. Diana was a homemaker who enjoyed crafts, flower gardening and collecting Barbie dolls. She was a member of Stephensport United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, J W Riley.

Diana is survived by her husband, Eddy Kannapel, of Hardinsburg; three sons, Troy Kannapel and his wife Bethany, of Leitchfield, Craig Kannapel and his wife Susan, of Hardinsburg, and Tim Kannapel and his wife Desiree, of Foglesville, PA; eight grandchildren: Bret, Katie, Michael, Caleb, Morgan, Connor, Madison and Raine, his mother, Iva Riley, of Hardinsburg; two sisters, Barbara Hudson of Leitchfield, and Joyce Duke (Eli), of Hancock County; three brothers, William Riley (Dayle), of Hardinsburg, Darrell Riley (Janet), of Hardinsburg, and Bruce Riley (Nita), of Hardinsburg.

Funeral services will be held at Stephensport United Methodist Church on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Paul Williams and Rev. Gary Jones officiating.

Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Saturday 3:30 - 8 p.m. and Sunday after 10 a.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to Stephensport United Methodist Church.
