Leitchfield Fire Department divers were called out Saturday, June 16, to help in the recovery efforts for a missing swimmer at Tules Creek, in the North Fork area of Rough River Lake.
Breckinridge County Coroner Tim Bandy said Aaron Pullan, 21, of Shepherdsville, was diving with friends from the cliff area. Witnesses said he landed face first in the water and didn’t surface.
Divers searched for a couple of hours before finding his body around 6:30 p.m. Bandy pronounced him dead at the scene.
Pullan’s death is the first drowning of the year at Rough River Lake.
