He was a native of Big Clifty,Ky., a Catholic by faith, U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and had retired from Brown & Williamson, and Alliant Health Services. He was an avid U K fan.
He is survived by his five children, Edward R. Hart Jr. (Marilyn), Carla Gail Riker (Quentin), Tami Lynnette Boston (Gary), Gill Bryan Hart (Tonya), and Lana Michelle Pollock; two sisters, Madge Hart, and his twin sister, Katherine Richardson (James); three brothers, Louis B. Hart, Harold Hart (Dolly) and Gerald Hart (Nelda). Also surviving are 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Stella Hart.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at the Owen Funeral Home in Louisville, Ky.
Burial will be in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
