Grayson County Sheriff's Office conducted a search warrant at 51 Porter Road in Caneyville on Thursday, March 27 at 3:30 in the morning. The search resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine in various stages of production and the arrest of Robert Keith Burden, 23.

Burden was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, trafficking in the first degree and possession of a controlled substance. All the charges were firearm enhanced. Also found at the residence were 15.3 grams of finished meth product, $1600 cash and a vehicle, all of which were seized in the investigation.

Burden was arrested on second offense class A, B, and C charges and lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center. He is being held without bond. Burden was arrested on July 23, 2002 for identical charges and held on a $50,000 cash bond. In November the judge reduced the bond to $10,000 with a 50 percent security. Burden had been out of jail for just over four months. According to Detective Tony Willen, if Burden receives the minimum for all his charges he will serve 70 years.

Sheriff David Simon, Deputy Sonny Poteet and Deputy Kevin Smith were part of the investigation. The Regional Drug Task Force also responded and coordinated clean up efforts.
