Shirl J. Carnes, age 73, formerly of Leitchfield, died on Friday, December 6, 2002, at the Rosewood Manor Nursing Home in Bowling Green.
He was born on November 25, 1929 in Grayson County, the son of Leo H. and Lucy Pearl Watson Carnes.
He is survived by one brother, Freddie Carnes of Leitchfield; two aunts, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 8, 2002 at the home of Watson & Hunt Funeral Directors in Leitchfield.
Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery.
