She was born June 5, 1931 in Butler County, the daughter of Bill and Gertrude (Geary) Brooks.
She is survived by a sister, Marie Reid, of Arnold, Missouri, cousins Shirley and Rick Barrett, and Joyce Copeland, and an aunt, Lois Hayes.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald George.
Funeral services were held in Chicago on June 10, 2011. Burial was in the Woodcock Cemetery.
Dermitt Funeral Home, in Leitchfield, was in charge of the local arrangements.
