All I can say about Ex Police Chief in Clarkson, Ky (Shawn Lee) is that what goes around comes around. He was one of the officers that caused me to be put on Trial in 2003 for unlawful use of my own computer and credit card fraud. I was placed on probation for five years which was easy for me because I do not break any laws any way...now my record has been wiped clean and he is sitting in the Jail on several charges! I hope the little one horse town of Leitchfield causes him to serve time in the pen. They did not even believe me when I told them that I knew nothing about what went on in my daughter's side of the two family home that we shared.I worked at the Elizabethtown Eal-Mart and was only home to sleep at night...they did a search warrant while I was at work. They took shoes off of my daughter's and her boyfriend's feet and did not find anything that belonged to me in my house and yet I was charged. I called Shawn Lee one night and ask him to check out my home while I was at work and he told me yes my daughter had another computer up and was on the internet once again, but they where only looking up dog names on it (sure maybe when he went inside but what about before that). They swore in court that the home only had one bathroom but if they searched my house how come they never saw the one on my side of the house! What goes around comes around to bite him in his rear end now!LOL
I TOTALLY Agree with Leitchfield going moist.Grayson county is well on it's way to becoming a DEAD county ie: no jobs and a walmart. It is time for Grayson county to catch up with the times we already have the traffic of the big cities we just dont have the revenue.I have lived in Louisville most of my life and trust me there are more people that drink here than most folks would think.People ARE going to drink whether its sold here or not,we are just losing the money and jobs that other counties have.Grayson being a dry county HAS NO effect on the acohol problems at all.We do however have a MAJOR drug problem, perhaps more time could be spent on THAT if we went moist.
I love to read interesting post that has knowledge to impart regarding current issues! Thank you for sharing your insights! I will avidly wait for your next blog entry.
i have heard but not aware of the reason that Dr. yockim is being made to leave...i do not understand why!!! he is needed at our hospital he was my M.D. and was great with me, he went out of his way to see me when i was admitted to the hosp. to see how i was doing. He has been with us many years and is a asset to this community i feel that the Board at the hospital need to examine there decision again and realize there our more voices to be heard then just theres. thank you
I lived in Grayson County for 46 of my 48 years and depend on your website to keep me informed of local happenings. For the most part this has been great. It's nice to know that no one in Grayson County has died in over a month even though I thought I read a story about a young woman dying recently in the detention center. I can't help wondering why the obits are not being updated.
I am down at the lake off of 631 on Pine Ridge Rd. We were out of Power for 14 days have it on now . I know people are suffering from no power. My husband was in a bad car accident in Nov.Home Health has to come in . I was lucky we went to louisville but i still had to leave my home. The crews from Ohio were working down here we came back & watch how hard these crews worked & long hours. I thanked them for their dedication. Mary Cook
I have a SPARE 4,000 Watt GENERATOR that will run most anything in your house. The Boiler for heat, fridge,tv, lights, two 1,500 WATT heaters. Just check oil each time you fill the one gallon gas tank. It will run for weeks with oil & gas. I will let anyone USE it. Just get it back to me the way It went out from here. From The White Mountains of New Hampshire.
I like the new web page. My only suggestion would be, with the stories where more than two pictures appear, the sentences in the story jump around everytime the picture change. This makes it hard to read the story.
