Jean was born on July 24, 1927, in Grayson County, to the late Andrew and Clara Skaggs Nichols. She was married to Martin B. Snyder and they were the parents of three children.
Jean is survived by her three children, Buell Snyder, Clara Sumner and Betty Hardison, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2011, at the Rogers-Oller Funeral Home with Bro. Art Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in the Clarkson Cemetery.
Visitation will continue after 8 a.m. on Saturday until time of service at the funeral home.
