Crash sends man to hospital

A late morning accident Monday sent a Leitchfield man to an area hospital for treatment of injuries.

According to a report from Leitchfield City Police Officer Mike Woosley, James Jaggers, 49, of 2106 Sunbeam Road, was traveling east on West Main Street when the vehicle he was driving went of the right side of the roadway, Monday, December 20, around 10:30 a.m.

The car traveled about 100 yards on the side of the roadway before hitting a culvert and overturning, reported Woosley.

Jaggers was trapped inside the vehicle and could not release the seat belt when police arrived on the scene.

Firefighters from the Leitchfield Fire Department extricated form the Jaggers from the vehicle and he was transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center by the Grayson County Emergency Services for treatment of the injuries he received during the accident.
