Local celebrities are making a return appearance as guest servers at Farmers Feedmill Restaurant this Sunday. The popular occasion will be used to raise funds to buy Christmas presents for children in the area.

The way the process works is that bankers, business owners, doctors, managers and friends are donating time to collect tips for the needy. Farmers Restaurant employee will assist the celebrities in this cause.

Restaurant owner Jean Davis stressed the need is even greater than in years past.

“The kids are very much in need this year,” Davis explained. “We are helping almost 40 elementary-age children have a Christmas this holiday season. All of the tips raised will go to this cause. Also employees of Farmers will be donating that day for the need of the children.”

Davis added that names of students in distress were given by the Family Resource Center in Grayson County. The children will be able to pick up the gifts on the last day before schools let out for Christmas break.

“We hope everyone comes out to support this good cause,” Davis said. “Because the children really need our help.”
