The Grayson County Ministerial Association is once again planning for the observance of Lent by hosting weekly services each Thursday at 12:00 noon during the 40 days of Lent. The services will be followed by a community meal, which are provided by different area churches each week. The event will conclude on Friday, March 25 with the annual cross-walk, which will start at 11:30, followed by the final service and meal.
“We are very excited to have many different denominations represented in the Association,” Tracy Dennison, secretary of GCMA said. “During Lent, we have the opportunity to showcase each of them by having a different minister bring the message each week.”
Each of the services will be held at the Leitchfield United Methodist Church. These non-denominational services will last only 30 minutes with a meal to follow, so everyone is encouraged to come on their lunch break.
“We invite everyone to attend and be a part of these community services,” Dennison said. “Events such as these will strengthen our community unity.”
