Manion to play golf for Racers

Grayson County High School senior, Cole Manion, signed a Letter of Intent on Monday to attend Murray Sate University, where he will join the Racer’s golf team.

Manion, who was selected as a Governor’s Scholar this past year and ranks number-one is his class academically at GCHS, joins the Racers after an outstanding high school golf career. He tied for first at this year’s Regional Tournament, then made the cut at the State Tournament, eventually finishing 28th overall.

Manion was selected to the 2015 Region 5 All-Region team and finished 24th on the 2015 All-State points list. He is also a two-time qualifier at the Kentucky State Amateur Tournament.

Playing in Junior Golf, Manion holds 21 top-five finishes, and was sixth at the 2015 Junior masters. He compiled 16 wins, including the 15U Big I & Kentucky Junior Amateur.
