Phelps harvests a bull elk

Courtesy Photo Randy Phelps, of Clarkson, posed with the bull elk he harvested during the second week of the rifle season. Phelps had hunted elk in Colorado, and along with his wife, Mary, had hunted cow elk in Eastern Kentucky, but this was his first bull elk hunt. After hiring a local guide, Phelps took this 6x6 elk on Thursday of the final week.
