Jones appointed to Utilities Commission

Keith Jones was officially appointed to the Leitchfield Utilities Commission on Monday, July 7.During the regularly scheduled July 7 Leitchfield City Council meeting, the Council held executive session to vote for the new Utilities Commissioner.In addition to Jones, applicants for the position were, in alphabetical order, Chester Coffey, R.C. Constant, William “Billy” Dallas, Howard Decker, Carl “Moon” Smith, and Kelly Stevenson.Following the executive session, Leitchfield Mayor William Thomason said the Council had voted to appoint Jones to the position of Utilities Commissioner.The Council then passed a motion to officially appoint Jones to the Utilities Commission to complete the term ending February 28, 2017.
