TONYA FARRIS KESSINGER FOR GRAYSON COUNTY CLERK

I am Tonya Farris Kessinger, Republican Candidate for Grayson County Clerk. I am a lifelong native of Grayson County, the daughter of Bill & Carletta Farris. I am married to Scott Kessinger with one son, Sam. I am the most qualified candidate for the job of Grayson County Clerk. My primary job since I was employed by the County Clerk's office in February 2000 has been as finance officer. I am responsible for a 4 1/2 million dollar budget with good audits every year. Every penny that runs through the Clerk's office is accounted for by me. I am also trained in all other departments of the Clerk's office, including motor vehicle licensing, tax collecting, recording and liens. There are 185 constitutional duties performed by the County Clerk including: Elections, Vehicles, Delinquent Taxes, Tax Appeals, Hunting & Fishing Licenses, Recordings, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly Reports. I have been trained in all of these duties by the present Clerk, Carletta Farris. I have been training for this job for the last 10 1/2 years. Carletta has done as excellent job as County Clerk for the last 8 years, and I plan on living up to the expectations of the citizens of Grayson County. You will see the same friendly faces in the Clerk's Office as you have in years past, as I am keeping the same employees that have been here for years.
