Dear Friends in Christ,

The Grayson County Ministerial Association again seeks the financial support of businesses, organizations, churches, and individuals as we approach this Christmas season.

Last year, Christmas 2008, we distributed over 1,000 Christmas baskets to needy households. Presently, we have barely half the funds needed to do as much as we did last year.

This and the many other aspects of our ministry need financial support from within the region we serve. All contributions are tax deductible. Please send checks payable to GCMA, P.O. Box 4288, Leitchfield, KY 42754

We will be distributing Christmas baskets with Hams on Saturday, December 19th, from 8:00 am – Noon. Christmas Baskets will be distributed from a building on the former Leitchfield Plastics property on Commerce Drive [same location as last year]. Recipients will be notified of the place and the time to pick-up their Christmas Basket.

We ask, as well, for volunteers to help in putting-together the Christmas Baskets on Friday afternoon, December 18th after 4:30 pm. Volunteer help is needed on both Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.

We wish to express our appreciation to the Banks, Businesses, Fraternal Organizations, Churches, individuals and others of the Community for their support in past years. This support has made it possible for us to assist the needy with utility bills and rent, gasoline for medical travel, food and shelter for transients, and other emergency needs as well as Christmas baskets.

The Grayson County Ministerial Association is a gathering of likeminded Christian leaders representing the wide array of Protestant and Catholic Christian Congregations in Grayson County. We are one in purpose in seeking to address genuine human and spiritual needs in the Name of the Lord we serve. We try to help those in need so that we might advance the cause of Christ in reaching the lost and in helping those we can with what they are unable to do for themselves. We seek the participation of all congregations and organizations in the Twin Lakes Region.

We respectfully request that you provide this information to your subscribers in the next possible issue.

Serving Christ in the New Millennium
