Four individuals were arrested following a drug bust on Tuesday, Aug. 19.


The Leitchfield Police Department and the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant on Aug. 19, at 209 Goff Drive in Leitchfield.


While executing the search warrant, police officers found evidence of the manufacture of methamphetamine, in addition to other drug-related evidence, according to an LPD press release.


46-year-old David Hicks was arrested for Manufacturing Methamphetamine, First Offense; Possession of Controlled Substance, First Degree (Methamphetamine); Possession of Controlled Substance, Second Degree (Drug Unspecified); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.


26-year-old Ricky Hicks was arrested for Manufacturing Methamphetamine, First Offense; Possession of Controlled Substance, First Degree (Methamphetamine); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Trafficking in Synthetic Cannabinoid Agonists or Piperazines; Possession of Synthetic Agonists or Piperazines; and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.


50-year-old Walter Schmuck (A.K.A. Luke Walt) was arrested for Manufacturing Methamphetamine, First Offense; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Possession of Synthetic Agonists or Piperazines; and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor. Schmuck was also arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant out of Indiana.


And 21-year-old Amber Hatfield was arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.


Child Protective Services was called to the scene to assist with the safe placement of the children who were on the scene, according to the release.


Grayson County Emergency Medical Services also responded to transport one of the children who is physically disabled.


All four arrested individuals were transported to the Grayson County Detention Center where they are still lodged. David Hicks, Ricky Hicks, and Schmuck are all lodged on $25,000 cash bonds. Hatfield is being lodged on a 50 percent cash, $5,000 bond.


David Hicks, Ricky Hicks, and Schmuck are scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in Grayson County District Court on Thursday, Aug. 28 at 1 p.m.


Hatfield is scheduled to appear in court for a pre-trial conference on Thursday, Aug. 28 at 8:30 a.m.


This investigation is still ongoing with more arrests expected to be made soon.
