The American pickers’ adventures in Grayson County will continue when they feature Leitchfield in an upcoming episode.
The popular reality TV show American Pickers - which stars Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz as they travel the country in search of interesting antiques to buy and re-sell in their Antique Archaeology shops in Nashville, Tennessee and LeClaire, Iowa - featured a visit to Pine Knob during its Wednesday, July 30 season premiere.
During the season premiere, Honus Shain and Don Muncy, both of Pine Knob, sold two classic cars to Wolfe and Fritz, who visited Pine Knob for a “freestyle pick.”
The pickers visited both Pine Knob and Leitchfield in late March to film for upcoming episodes of their show.
During their Leitchfield visit, the pickers met with local man Robert Wright to search through his family’s dilapidated building on West Market Street.
Pine Knob announced via its official Facebook page on Thursday, July 31 that it had received word that the American Pickers Leitchfield episode will air next week.
The next episode of American Pickers will air Wednesday, Aug. 6 at 8 p.m. CST on History Channel.
The description for the next episode, according to History Channel’s website, www.history.com, reads, “With the roof caving in on his massive family stockpile, a Kentucky collector is motivated to sell whatever he can before it’s too late. And that’s great news for Mike and Frank because the mega-pick features a mind-boggling array of awesome stuff.”
