Local artists and crafters still have time to register for a spot at the Grayson County Alliance’s 2014 Art in the Park fundraiser.
The juried show, which will be held on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18 at Leitchfield’s James D. Beville City Park, has extended its submission deadline due to last-minute inquiries, according event spokesman Ed Duggan.
Art in the Park Organizer Rita Stevenson said, “Last year was our inaugural one-day show, and this year we’ve extended it to two days with many new and returning participants.”

“Local art lovers don’t have to travel to Louisville or Nashville to see top-notch art and craft,” said Stevenson.
The growing list of participants currently includes acclaimed Leitchfield artist, Larry Elmore; Alabama husband and wife duo, Deborah Browning, an oil painter, and Dan Browning, a wood craftsman; woodworker Josh Dowell; Susan and Skip Peek who hand-craft brooms and walking sticks; Leitchfield jeweler Rhonda Frank; mixed media artist Paula Haynes; oil painters Jeanie Kittinger, of Bremen; Leitchfield’s Ken Farris; and The Palm Beach Collection’s Ed and Helen Duggan, who will bring recycled fur teddy bears from Boca Raton, Florida.
All proceeds from Art in the Park will benefit the Grayson County Alliance.
