One local woman was injured when her car crashed into a ditch on Wednesday, April 23.
At around 9:03 a.m. on Wednesday, Grayson County Emergency Medical Services, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Leitchfield Fire Department responded to a report of an injury accident near 2895 Anneta Road in Leitchfield.
Elizabeth Decker, 61, of Rabbit Flat Road, was driving her 2000 Buick LeSabre on Anneta Road when she crested a hill and noticed traffic had stopped, according to GCSO Chief Deputy Tony Willen, who investigated the accident.
Rather than crashing into traffic, Decker then took to the ditch beside the road where the vehicle came to a rest, Willen said.
Decker was transported from the scene by GC EMS to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The Buick was towed from the scene by Stevenson’s Wrecker Service.
