One man was injured when a car struck a moped in the entrance to the parking lot of Wendy’s in Leitchfield, at around 6 p.m. on Monday, November 11.

Leitchfield Police Officer Ian Renfrow, who responded to the accident, said at the scene that the accident occurred when the moped pulled out of the Wendy’s parking lot as the car was turning in.

The names of the individuals involved in the accident have not yet been released.

The male driver of the under 50 cc moped, who is a local individual, received minor facial lacerations and lost a tooth as a result of the accident but refused Grayson County Emergency Medical Services at the scene, Renfrow reported.

Multiple passengers from Nortonville were in the car at the time of the accident, but none were reported injured, Renfrow said.
