LPD investigates burglary

The Leitchfield Police Department is currently investigating a burglary that occurred on Tuesday, October 22.


According to a press release from the LPD, perpetrator(s) entered a storage area located at Future Designs and stole “a large amount of building supplies, including roofing shingles, vinyl siding, [and] insulation,” among other items.


A 1998 Chevrolet truck was also taken at the time of the burglary but was later located after it had been abandoned on the Western Kentucky Parkway, the LPD reported.


The owner of the business is currently offering a reward of up to $1,000 for more information that results in the arrest and conviction of the person(s) involved in the theft, according to the LPD.


The LPD requests that anyone with information about the aforementioned crimes contact the department at 270-259-3850. Individuals who submit information may remain anonymous.
