Four Leitchfield Post Office sales clerks received a celebratory luncheon for excellence in customer service on Friday, October 25.

United States Postal Service Retail Manager for the Kentuckiana District Christy Brumfield attended the luncheon to honor and present a plaque to Leitchfield Post Office Clerks Anna Brown, David Cantrell, Jennifer Howlett, and Bridget Wilson.

Brumfield said the USPS hires individuals to visit post offices and observe their employees’ customer service. The Leitchfield Post Office sales clerks passed their last 20 observations in a row - a rare accomplishment, she said.

Leitchfield Postmaster Chris Geary said the Leitchfield Post Office sales clerks’ achievement has earned them the rank of third in the Kentuckiana district.

To show appreciation for the clerks’ accomplishment, Brumfield said the USPS wanted to serve the clerks “the way they serve their customers” with the catered luncheon and other incentive awards, including a plaque.
