Multi-County Tobacco Production meeting

There will be a Multi-County Tobacco Production meeting and GAP Certification meeting at the Breckinridge County Extension Community Building on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., CST.

The office is located at 1377 Highway 261 South in Hardinsburg. If you attended the meeting last year, it is in the same location, which is the building behind the Extension Office.

This meeting will qualify for GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) Certification for all tobacco companies. Make sure you bring your GAP Connection Card with you to get certified.

Guest speakers include:

Dr. Robert Pearce, UK Tobacco Specialist

Dr. Emily E. Pfeufer, UK Extension Plant Pathologist

Also, a Crop Insurance Agent will be on hand to answer questions.

You must call 270-756-2182 to register for the meeting, and a meal is provided. The program will be supported by the Burley Tobacco Grower’s Cooperative Association and other local sponsors. If you are not able to attend the meeting, you should call to get further instruction.
