Dump truck, car collide on Lilac Rd

A collision between a dump truck hauling a trailer load of hay and a passenger car injured one person on Lilac Road Thursday afternoon, August 13, at just after 2 p.m.

According to preliminary reports at the scene, the two vehicles struck each other head-on for unknown reasons, with both coming to a rest facing south on opposite sides of the roadway.

One female driver of the car, a maroon Honda, was treated at the scene by Grayson County EMS and taken to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Room for further treatment of minor injuries.

The male driver of the dump truck was reportedly uninjured.

There were no passengers in either of the vehicles at the time of the accident.

Grayson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident, with assistance from Leitchfield Fire Department and Grayson County EMS.
